Schools and Education
The Providence Public School District serves approximately 26,000 students from pre-Kindergarten to grade 12. The district operates 25 elementary schools, nine middle schools, and thirteen high schools. Additionally, the District features two magnet schools at the middle and high school level, Nathaniel Greene and Classical respectively.
Colleges and universities located in Providence include Brown University, Bryant University, Providence College, Rhode Island School of Design, University of Rhode Island, and Johnson & Wales University.
