With expansive views of the Narragansett Bay, Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum is a superbly maintained garden estate established in the 1890's by coal magnate Augustus VanWickle. The stunning 45-room mansion, exquisite gardens, and magnificent trees are an absolute "must see".
The RISD Museum traces the history of art from antiquity to the present through exhibitions and a collection of nearly 80,000 works of art in all media including painting, sculpture, decorative arts, costumes and textiles, prints, drawings, photographs, and video, representing cultures around the world.
Visit the Roger Williams Park Zoo, the country’s third oldest zoo, and see over 1,500 animals, including elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, snow leopards, moon bears, gibbons and more.
